Weather
Known as the “Land of Eternal Spring,” Guatemala enjoys mild, pleasant weather all year round. Days are usually warm and sunny (22°C - 26°C), while nights and early mornings are cool. We have two clear seasons: the dry season (November to April) and the green season (May to October). We recommend bringing light clothing for the day and a jacket or sweater for the evening.
Arco de Santa Catalina
It’s the undisputed icon of La Antigua Guatemala. Built in the 17th century so that cloistered nuns could cross the street unseen, today it’s the most photogenic spot in the city. Its vibrant yellow color, the clock at the top, and the majestic Agua Volcano framed in the background make the perfect postcard you can’t miss on your visit.
Cerro de la Cruz
Perched at the top of a hill, this lookout offers the most spectacular panoramic view of Antigua. From here, you can take in the city’s perfect colonial grid beneath the imposing presence of the Agua Volcano.
Ruinas del Convento de las Capuchinas
A one-of-a-kind architectural gem, famous for its striking circular tower of cells and its beautiful courtyards. It’s one of the best-preserved monuments in the city, perfect for walking through history and admiring colonial design.
Iglesia de La Merced
